With over 20 years of experience in SEND, I support families to understand their rights, navigate complex processes, and feel confident in the decisions they make for their child.

I understand how overwhelming the system can feel, and I work alongside families to make things clearer, more manageable, and less stressful.

My approach is calm, practical and focused on ensuring families feel heard, supported, and able to move forward with confidence.

As a parent of a child with SEND, I bring lived experience and a real understanding of the challenges families can face when navigating the system.

I support families by sharing knowledge, offering reassurance, and helping them feel less alone in what can often feel like an overwhelming and isolating journey.

My role is to provide practical support, understanding and encouragement, helping families feel more confident in accessing the support their child needs.

Family Support & Administration Coordinator

As both a parent and grandparent of a child with SEND, I bring a deep personal understanding of the challenges families can face across generations.

I support the day-to-day running of We Are Able, ensuring that families are able to access support in a smooth and organised way. I am often the first point of contact, helping to create a welcoming and reassuring experience for families reaching out.

My role is centred around care, understanding and making sure every family feels valued, supported and listened to.

Trainee SEND Practitioner

I am currently studying Psychology at university, which supports my understanding of behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and how children and families experience different situations. This helps me approach my role with care, sensitivity and awareness.

I support families before, during and after meetings, helping them feel prepared, listened to and less overwhelmed. I aim to be a calm and supportive presence, ensuring families feel comfortable and not alone in the process.

Consultation In Person

We pride ourselves on offering home visits for our clients because we understand that time is precious and hard to come by in today's busy world. By providing in-person consultations at home, we aim to make the process more convenient and comfortable, allowing our clients to receive the support they need without the added stress of travel, enabling us to better understand their unique circumstances and provide tailored solutions that fit their lifestyle.

Basic Report Review

Evaluating and summarizing the information contained in a child's Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan or other relevant documents is important to us so we can assess the effectiveness of the support provided, identifying any progress made, and highlighting areas where further assistance may be needed, to elevate and ensure the support your child needs
